POLICY
Cookie Policy
Effective 2026-05-11
This Cookie Policy explains how Beolta (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on beolta.com. For non-essential technologies, your consent is collected via the banner displayed on your first visit. You can withdraw consent at any time through your browser settings.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners. Cookies can be persistent (remaining on your device until they expire or you delete them) or session(deleted automatically when you close your browser).
We also use localStorage, a browser-based storage mechanism that functions similarly to a persistent cookie but is stored within your browser’s local storage rather than sent with HTTP requests. Where this Policy references a “cookie”, the same description applies to equivalent localStorage entries where noted.
2. Technologies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary
Strictly necessary technologies are essential for the website to function. We do not currently set any strictly-necessary third-party cookies on the marketing site; the consent-preference storage that records your banner choice is described in Section 2.2 below.
2.2 Consent-Preference Storage (Strictly Necessary)
These entries record your response to the cookie consent banner so we do not display it on every visit, and so the same choice is honoured across beolta.com and app.beolta.com. They are strictly necessary to remember and respect your choice, and are therefore always set.
- beolta_cookie_consent_v1 — Stores your cookie consent preference (“accepted” or “declined”). Type: localStorage entry (not a traditional HTTP cookie — it is stored in your browser’s local storage and is never transmitted to our servers). Duration: approximately 1 year (until cleared by you or the entry expires within the browser). Set by Beolta.
- beolta_consent — Stores the same consent choice (“accepted” or “declined”) as a first-party cookie scoped to
.beolta.com, so your decision is shared between the marketing site (beolta.com) and the application (app.beolta.com). Type: first-party HTTP cookie. Duration: approximately 180 days. Set by Beolta.
2.3 First-Party Analytics
These cookies power our own first-party funnel analytics — they help us understand, in aggregate, how visitors move from a marketing email or campaign through the site and into the application, so we can see where people drop off. They are first-party only: there is no Google Analytics, no third-party analytics provider, no advertising cookies, and no third-party tracking pixels. These cookies are setonly after you accept on the consent banner; if you decline, they are never set (and any existing ones are removed), and no analytics events are collected.
- beolta_anon — A randomly generated anonymous device identifier used to connect the pages you view within a single first-party funnel. It is not linked to your name or email and is not shared with any third party. Type: first-party HTTP cookie scoped to
.beolta.com. Duration: approximately 180 days. Set by Beolta. - beolta_attr — Stores first-touch campaign attribution (the UTM campaign parameters and referrer of the first page you landed on), so we can attribute later activity to the campaign that brought you in. Type: first-party HTTP cookie scoped to
.beolta.com. Duration: approximately 180 days. Set by Beolta.
The analytics events generated using these cookies are stored in our own systems and retained for approximately 13 months, after which they are deleted.
3. Cookies We Do Not Use
Our analytics are entirely first-party (see Section 2.3). The beolta.com landing page does not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics tracking cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat, _ga_*, etc.). No advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels are deployed on this site.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We do not set any third-party cookies on this website. Every cookie and storage entry described above is first-party — set by Beolta and scoped to our own domain. No third-party advertising, analytics, or anti-abuse services place cookies through beolta.com.
5. How to Manage Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our website (in particular, the consent-preference storage that remembers your banner choice).
Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings menus:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Cookies and site data
Resetting your consent choice
Your choice is stored in two places, so to reset it and see the banner again, clear both: open your browser’s developer tools (F12), and under the Application or Storage tab delete the beolta_cookie_consent_v1 entry from Local Storage for beolta.com and the beolta_consent cookie. The consent banner will reappear on your next visit.
6. Consent
When you first visit our website, you will be shown a consent banner allowing you to accept or decline non-essential technologies. Strictly necessary storage (such as your consent preference in beolta_cookie_consent_v1 / beolta_consent) is always active, as it records your banner choice. Our first-party analytics cookies (beolta_anon and beolta_attr, see Section 2.3) are set only if you accept; if you decline, they are not set and any existing copies are deleted, so no analytics tracking takes place. Your preference is stored inbeolta_cookie_consent_v1 and the shared beolta_consent cookie. You can change your preference at any time by clearing those entries as described above.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Please revisit this page periodically to stay informed.
