The questions that arrive most often, from contractors and buyers.
Q01
I'm a buyer — how do I get a shortlist?
If our signal engine has already detected your buying intent, you'll receive a match page by email — no action required, no login. If you'd rather not wait, email us a brief at hello@beolta.com; a human reads every message and a curated shortlist follows by email, typically within a few business days.
Q02
Do buyers ever pay anything?
No. Buyers pay nothing at any stage. No registration is required to view a match. This is a constraint we do not plan to relax.
Q03
Can a contractor pay to rank higher?
No. The scoring pipeline has no input for subscription tier or payment. Higher tiers unlock buyer intelligence; the Scale tier additionally pays a reduced success fee. Tier never affects your composite score; it acts only as a deterministic tie-break when two contractors score exactly equal.
Q04
How do you verify the signals you act on?
Every signal records its source, raw reference, and detection timestamp. Contractors see the source for every field in their profile and can dispute any item, which freezes it until an admin adjudicates within 72 business hours.
Q05
What happens when a deal closes?
Deals are tracked for twelve months from introduction (or 24 months for construction-pack contractors). On confirmation, the contractor owes a success fee on the deal value as defined in the subscription terms. Net 30 invoicing. Disputes run through a documented procedure.
Q06
Can I be listed without registering?
Unregistered contractors may appear in early-stage matches while a vertical is being seeded. You will receive a claim notification the first time your firm is included. Claiming is free and takes about two minutes.
Q07
What if I want out?
Pause at any time from the portal. Opt-out removes you from future matches and anonymizes historical data after thirty-six months. Commission obligations on deals originated before opt-out survive, per the terms of service.
Q08
Which industries are supported today?
The core platform is vertical-agnostic. Each industry is added as a configuration pack — taxonomy, signal catalog, scoring weights, connectors. Eleven packs live today: IT outsourcing, marketing agencies, legal/ALSP, specialty construction, environmental, industrial automation, clinical research, staffing, outsourced finance, game development services, and media localization.
Q09
How do you handle GDPR and similar regulations?
B2B prospect data is processed under legitimate interest with a documented assessment per region. Registered contractor data is consented explicitly at signup. Unsubscribe requests are honored within thirty days. DSARs are handled within the statutory thirty-day window.
Q10
What does the match page show?
Each contractor on the match page has an expandable 8-section dossier — identity, team composition, domain expertise, case studies, reviews, recent activity, match math, and badges. Every numerical claim carries its source and collection timestamp, with a link where the source is public. You can also open a side-by-side comparison of up to four contractors across eleven criteria. No login required.
